 PHONICS
Ryder had several phonics and handwriting worksheets this week. He completed Lesson 19 in All About Reading Level 1. Also, he read 2 BOB books!

 BIBLE/SCIENCE
We talked about how newborn babies crave milk and about how milk helps a baby to grow.  We also talked about how we need God’s word to help us grow in Him.

The boys loved having a Milk-Tasting Party! They tried white, strawberry, and chocolate milk. Their favorite?! Chocolate!
We made butter!  This was a fun experience for all of us.  We took heavy whipping cream and shook it up for about 20 minutes in a small mason jar.  It made a clump of butter! I did add a little salt, but it was very yummy!

Ryder glued pictures of dairy products onto a piece of paper.
 MUSIC
This week the boys listened to Vivaldi: Violin Concerto no. 1 in G Minor (III. Allegro). Ryder drew a picture that matched the sound of the music.
Mercer played with this puzzle a lot this week during school! He can count to 9 now!
