BIBLE/SCIENCE
We learned that Emporer Penguins keep the egg safe on their webbed feet for two months until it hatches! While the father is keeping the egg warm, the mother is out looking for food!
We learned that penguins live in a cold climate where icebergs are common. We experimented by making our own "mini" icebergs! We discovered that a you can only see a little bit of the iceberg on top of the water,,,
but there is still a lot more of the iceberg under water!
Ryder labeled the parts of a penguin!
We used the globe to learn about the equator, North and South Poles, and Antarctica.
We talked about how penguins show love for their families, and we learned some
Bible verses showing how family members should treat one another (Husbands,
love your wives…wives, follow the lead of your husband…children, obey your
parents... love your brothers and sisters...think of others as better than yourself...look out for the good of others) Ryder made a card for his daddy with a picture of an Emporer penguin on the front!
MUSIC
This week the boys listened to Waldteufel: The Skaters (Waltz). They pretended to glide on ice skates!
100th Day of School!
Today was our 100th day of school so we had a party! We finished our 100 chart/straws, read a book, and had fun snacks!
