I cannot believe Ryder will be in 1st grade this fall! I have decided on all his curriculum and I have most of it in. Here's what I picked:
Phonics/Bible/History/Handwriting ~ My Father's World First Grade (Learning God's Story) Curriculum.
My Father's World Phonics will be a review so for more Phonics lessons we will be doing All About Reading Level 3. He has been working on Level 2 over the summer and is almost finished.
He will be doing All About Spelling Level 1 for his first year of Spelling!
We both enjoyed this Math curriculum, so he is continuing on with Math Lessons for a Living Education Book 2.
These came with the My Father's World First Grade curriculum. We love Usborne books so we are very excited about using these for Science!
The first half of the year he will complete this Usborne Art book.
The second half of the year he will be studying famous artwork using this curriculum that came with My Father's World First Grade.
This is the music curriculum and it also came with My Father's World First Grade curriculum. He also will continue taking weekly piano lessons.
I am excited about adding P.E. this year! I found this DVD that seems like a lot of fun for the boys.
Our plan is to start Monday, August 4th so stay tuned for a post about our new homeschool room and "First Day of School" pictures!
