WEEK 33

BIBLE
The Bible verse this week was John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." We talked about the importance of accepting God's Word, that we need the Word, and that God wants everyone to know Him.
 
SPELLING
Ryder did Lesson 33 and got a 12/12 on his spelling test.
 
ENGLISH
Ryder did Unit 5 Lessons 17-20.
 
HISTORY
This week Ryder studied the states of Utah, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arizona! He colored the state bird and flower, learned the capital, and wrote the state abbreviation. He also found the state on the map of the USA. We also made Navajo Fry Bread! It was yummy! Tasted like a donut with the honey on it. We finished the read aloud, "In Grandma's Attic." 



MATH
Ryder did Lessons 129-132. He got a 48/49 on test #13.

 ART
This week Ryder colored a pattern on this spider web.
 
MUSIC
We listened to the song, "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."
 
PRESCHOOL
This week Mercer worked on letter sounds and handwriting for "Vv, Ww, and Xx."
 
SCIENCE
In co-op the boys continued their unit study about weather. At home we finished a unit study about inventions! This week we learned about Thomas Edison's inventions, and the inventions of the automobile and airplane!
