We learned “Thank you, God, for this beautiful world."
The letter is Yy
The caterpillar is finished growing!
These were our books this week.
MATH
Ryder is working on Math Lessons for the Living Education Book 1.
PHONICS
Ryder had several phonics and handwriting worksheets this week. He completed Lesson 4 of All About Reading Level 2. We also read the poem "What is Pink?"
He learned to read all the color words this week!
BIBLE/SCIENCE
Ryder looked at pictures of nature in black and white and pictures of nature in color! He liked the colored pictures a lot better! He is thankful that God created a world with beautiful colors! We read some Bible verses about God creating the world. And we reviewed all of our special words to remember from all of the past units!
ART
The boys made a paper rainbow!
We also talked about color blending. We learned the primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. Ryder used paint to mix the primary colors and make more colors!
He learned that blue and yellow make green, red and blue make purple, and red and yellow make orange!
MUSIC
This week the boys listened to Ravel: Habanera this week.
My Father's World Kindergarten was so much fun! I can't believe it is over! Homeschool has been so rewarding and I am so thankful that God has called me to do this. Looking back at unit 1, Ryder has grown so much! Ryder will have Kindergarten graduation in a few weeks. Until then he will be working on his Math lessons and All About Reading Level 2! We will still work on things a few days a week over the summer as well. And then in August he will begin My Father's World 1st grade curriculum!
