BIBLE/HISTORY
The memory verse for this week was "Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." Proverbs 12:18 Ryder practiced handwriting by writing out the Bible verse and he went over the verse daily. Each morning we also did a devotional from "My Big Book of 5-minute Devotionals." On Monday, I read a history story about Abe Lincoln that related to honesty. The rest of the week we reviewed the definition of honesty.
READING/LANGUAGE ARTS
Ryder did Lesson 17 and 18 in All About Reading Level 3. He also had several handwriting and phonics worksheets. He did First Language Lessons Level 1 Lessons 24 through 30 and All About Spelling Level 1 Lesson 6. He had his first spelling test and made a 10/10!
MATH
Ryder finished Lessons 33 through 37 in Horizons Math 1. He started double digit addition this week and picked up on it easily!
SCIENCE
The topic was "Rivers." We read the Usborne book: Things Outdoors and a read-aloud book.
