WEEK 34

BIBLE/HISTORY
The memory verse for this week was "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.." Proverbs 19:21 Ryder practiced handwriting by writing out the Bible verse and he went over the verse daily. We also reviewed the books of the Bible and added Paul becoming a believer and the new Heaven and new Earth to the timeline. This finishes out our timeline for the year!

 READING/LANGUAGE ARTS
Ryder continued with reading a story from his Bible Reader about the church growing, Stephen and Saul, Peter being in jail, and the new Heaven and new Earth. And he illustrated the stories in his Bible notebook.

 MATH
Ryder finished Lessons 127 through 129 in Horizons Math 1.
 ART
Ryder continued with "Enjoying Art Together" this week. We studied the artwork "The Artist's Garden at Vetheuil" by Claude Monet. Ryder did a great job examining the picture and answering questions about the painting.

Ryder is officially done with the My Father's World portion of his 1st grade school year! He has about 30 more Math lessons that we will finish up over the next 6 weeks. We will also continue with handwriting and we will go ahead and start All About Reading Level 4 over the summer! We will have a very light summer with fun activities mixed in!
