Curriculum Choices for Ryder's 2nd Grade 2015/2016 School Year

For Math we are using Horizons Math 2. This worked really well last year, so we are just going to continue!

 For History/Geography/Bible we are using My Father's World Adventure's in US History. We are only using the History/Geography/Read-Alouds/Bible Portion of this curriculum for this year.

 For Spelling we are trying something new and going with Rod and Staff 2nd Grade Spelling by Sound and Structure. I was not impressed with All About Spelling last year, so I hope this is a better fit!

 For English/Writing we are trying something new and going with Rod and Staff 2nd Grade English. Ryder again did not respond well to First Language Lessons last year, so I hope this switch works!

 For Science we are doing a co-op on Thursday afternoons and we will be using Answers in Genesis. I am so excited about using this curriculum this year!

 For Reading, we are using All About Reading Level 4. We actually have already started this, so we will just be finishing it up this year. I love AAR!

For PE, we are using the FitFactor DVD again. As well as some of my workout DVDs and sports activities.

For Health, we are using Rod and Staff 2nd grade Proper Manners and Health Habits curriculum.

 

For Art, I am using Easy Peasy's Early American art lessons!
